Asslam Alikum wa rahmatu Allah wa barakato
Hello everyone! ( I thought I would missed this but AlhamdulIAllah !
the day has come !
it's the 29th of Sha'ban (the name of the 8th month in Islamic calender) .everyone is standing , waiting .. watching ..
most family are waiting in home watching TV or listening to the radio . They are waiting for the Ramadan announcement !
the first Ramadan night would be today or tomorrow it depends .. but right now the month Sha'ban will complete 30 day. ^-^
So , as you know , Maaroof and his friends Waled and Hatem are doing their best to find on the crescent ( Helal ) . the weather is hot , Hatem is sharing water bottle to Maaroof . but Maarof doesn't listen he is focusing on observing .
Everyone enjoys searching every year !
(The first crescent appear will be announce the first day of new month) . > This is Hijra system it depends on moon , the first moon appear it will be the begin of the new month .
or if it doesn't appear all Muslim will complete the 30 days in the month and start Rmadan after tomorrow .
Why we do that ? why every year we search for the Ramdhan crescent? We do that every year , we use to look up for Ramadhan crescent as our prophet Mohammand peace be upon him - صلى الله عليه وسلم - said (صوموا لرؤيته وأفطروا لرؤيته ) - ( if there is a crescent of the begin of the month , do your fast . and stop your fasting if you saw the crescent of begin of the next month -Shawal- . )
Why Muslims don't use the date in the calendar ?
Because our dates aren't fixed as Gregorian date . In Islamic calendar (Hijri) the month end depends on moon. Phases of the moon end last for 29 days or 30 days . When we reach the middle of the month (15) we'll see the full moon .
So, Hijri date -Islamic calendar- Start its month from the first phases of the moon . and Ends in the last crescent of the moon in 29 then start the next month . Or we start next month on the next day if the crescent complete 30 days .
there is no 31 date in Islamic calendar ^-^ . Because the phases of the moon only last for 29 or 30 days

we ask Allah to be able to live this month and be able to do the good deeds ,Amin .
and help all muslims to gain strength for fasting in summer ! Amin
